Clark "
Petula Clark is a singer, songwriter
and actress born English 15 November 1932 at Epsom (Surrey).

His father Leslie Norman Clark was English and his mother Doris,
nee Phillips, was Welsh.
His baptismal name is Petula Sally Olwen Clark. His father
created his name by combining two names: Pet and Ulla.
Entered at the age of seven years in the entertainment world,
guided by his mother soprano singer and impresario father, she
was in the 1960s a big star of French song in interpreting
particular Boris Vian and Gainsbourg.
In June 1961 she married the impresario Claude Wolff. Its height
is between 1964 and 1968. She won the Festivalbar in 1965.
Title Downtown, which was a worldwide success, is particularly
reflected in the American television series Lost (1st broadcast
in the United States September 22, 2006, in episode 03x01).
One can also hear the air Downtown at the beginning of the movie
Jaws 2, during the end credits of Girl, Interrupted, and several
times in the film "Girl, Interrupted" (Young girls interrupted).
In 1998 she was made a Commander of
the Order of the British Empire.
