Elsa (born January 13, 1935 in Grosseto in Tuscany, Italy) is an
Italian film actress.

She began her career as a fashion model before turning to
filmmaking.
Child of a large family and very poor, Elsa Martinelli becomes
international model because of its great beauty. The American
actor Kirk Douglas notices a picture of her in Life magazine and
offered him a role in a western.
Elsa Martinelli's strat in film are dazzling, thanks to its role
in the Indian River Fighter (André De Toth, 1955), which still
marks the minds of many moviegoers. This woman of rare beauty is

At home in melodrama (The Daughter of rice, Raffaello Matarazzo,
